In its original deep navy blue silk velvet lined box ready to be presented as a gift, a wonderful antique Edwardian era bar brooch studded with twelve olden hand cut Diamonds (some of which would have been salvaged from much older jewels) and a single lustrous Saltwater Pearl. An elegant shape which was so fashionable at the time and works just as well today on a lapel or evening dress, this handmade brooch reflects the graceful and refined ideal of the time. The four larger Diamonds date in cutting style to the early 19th century, perhaps even earlier, giving an interest and charm which makes this piece really special. All in 18ct yellow Gold with a fine Platinum setting to the gems.
The brooch measures two inches and fastens with a lovely secure safety clasp.
